Normaly we are talking about the RDP which means “Remote Desktop Protocol” and NOT “Remote Desktop Connection”

The latest version of RDP is at the moment 7.1: Coming with Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. See below screenshot:

For Vista and XP you can download it from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969084

If you are on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 don’t search for RDP 7.1 because you are allready running it. Open “mstsc” and right click on the top and open “About” and you will see this:

The Shell Version and Control Version is 6.1.7601 (RDP 7 would have 6.1.7600 without SP1).

So you see that RDP and RDC are different thiings.

RDC nin son versionu aşağıdaki gibidir: Buda Windows 7 ve Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 içinden geliyor.

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 + Service Pack var ise son güncel durumu zaten mevcut. Lütfen Start >Run içinde mstsc yazın ve çalıştırın. Mstsc açıldığında yukarıdaki mavi bölümüne sağ tıklayıp “About” kısmını açın bunu göreceksiniz:

Shell Version ve Control Version is 6.1.7601 (RDP 7 deyseniz 6.1.7600 gösterecektir. SP1 yüklü değildir)

RDC ile RDP farklı anlama geliyor buda biraz kafa karıştıryor. Umarım bu en azından açıklık getirmiştir.
